Hi Guys!
Trends may come and go all the time, but more often they simply step it up a notch. From the cold months to the warm ones, you need not completely re-vamp your wardrobe but instead adapt it. Here are the 2013 trends based on the catwalk.
The new metallics
Metallics don’t have to be limited to tin can silver or vibrant gold. This year metallics range from futurist to glam brocade, precious metals to pastels. Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Metalic Trend'
Sheer clothing
See- Sheer clothing has worked its way into being a year-round, accepted part of fashion, but it’s with each new season that a new level takes place. Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Sheer Clothing Trend'
The new boho
There’s always a certain romance that comes with the bohemian, the carefree traveller, the hippie. For spring/summer 2013 it’s present in a form both luxurious and soft, an step up of the boho trends previously. Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Boho Trend'
Clear plastic
60s fashion
On a particular trend of the 1960s, spring focuses on mod prints, vibrant colours, short hems, and biggg!! hair. Best trend to have fun with if you wan tot stand out! Photo taken from Bing Search - under '60's Trend'
Black and white patterns
It’s closely merged with the trend towards 1960s mod fashion, and with designers like Marc Jacobs behind it you can expect lots of black and white checks and stripes to be in every shop window for spring/summer. Make it your own and rock black and white patterned clothing this season! Get prepared its going to be MAD!! Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Black and White Trend'
Androgynous fashion

It started out with the pleasant confusion of boys who looked like girls and girls who looked like boys, but androgyny in fashion has mellowed to be more about subtle gender blurring in what we wear. Spring offers up new ideas. Personally I don't like this trend very much I prefer dresses and cute jeans. Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Androgynous fashion'
Floral appliques
Adding a three dimensional garden to your outfit is the surest way to make it feel like spring. The couture runways did it best in luxurious appliques and intricate beading, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work some floral appliques and embroidery into your own outfits come spring. Very nice trend, I have a few pieces my self! Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Floral appliques'
Sporty chic
No longer contain itself to certain sports or the athletic 'track and field', sporty fashion has become modern with more variety items. Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Sporty Chick Trend'
Crop tops
Owning a cropped top doesn't necessarily require the most toned abs in the world, though it certainly helps in my case :( In spring/summer 2013 the trend continues to be about exposing as much as you like, be it just a peep of upper midriff or a whole show of abs. Personally I have too much flab to pull this one off guys...oh well I can just look at the pictures haha! Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Crop Top Trend'
Brushstroke prints
Fashion and art collide this spring , with brushstrokes and paint splashes working their way across items in more ways than one. Haven't seen this trend so much around my area, but maybe it will start emerging soon!

Orange colour trend
Vibrant, bold, and optimistic:orange hues are one way to brighten outfit this spring. I just brought an orange dress from ebay when I heard about this trend. Always and excuse to buy new clothes and choose such an obnoxious orange colour... hehe :) Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Orange Trend'
The white shirt
It’s a wardrobe staple (apparently) no woman should be without: the 'classic' white shirt. Teaming a white shirt with jeans or a skirt is always going to be in fashion! Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'The White Shirt Trend'
Bird prints

Apparently this year spring’s designers have found some strange fascination with these flappy little animals. Bird prints and motifs found their way onto loads of runway. Also I think I have joined this fascination with this print... I think I need psychiatric help!!... too many nice clothes with birds on...ebay account slowly being used more frequently hehe x Photo taken from Bing Search - under 'Bird Print Trend'
Camo prints for women
Camouflage prints have by no means been swayed to the menswear runways. Taking on womanly shapes and abstracted prints, camo gets a brand new reworking for women. I dont like Camo. I kind of feel like one of my brothers old Action Man in his full attire haha!
Disclosure these pictures are not mine or been taken by me. I do not own these photos. Please read where I got them from under each paragraph.
Thanks for reading
Katie xx
